Our client is a well-established food business in the Co Down area who are going through a period of expansion and now have a new position for a Senior Maintenance Engineer who is seeking a challenging and varied role to join them.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will oversee a small team of maintenance personnel ensuring reactive and preventative cover for the production schedules including out of hours call outs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and continually update a programme of preventative maintenance for all site equipment
• Lead the programme of process automation and maintain a schedule for implementation.
• Design of new or existing facilities and equipment to facilitate expansion, diversification and lean manufacture.
• Manage, document and maintain stocks of key spares or back up plans for essential equipment.
• Assist in developing plans for future capital expenditure and equipment sourcing.
• Health and Safety Management of the facility.
• Assist in staff training for new equipment or processes.
• Project Management for all projects linked to Facility and Equipment.
• Services management
• Maintain the workshop in a clean, tidy, secure and organised manner.
• Weekly KPI reporting to include Production downtime, Automation progress, H&S scores and outstanding logged maintenance issues.

Criteria:

• Proven maintenance experience maintenance within fast paced manufacturing
• Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Problem solving skills to identify and correct plant issues and deficiencies.
• Able to Manage others and work in a team.

Salary in the region of £35- 40k + bonus.
