Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) in Cardiff to take commercial responsibility for major M&E projects. The role involves cost planning, NEC/JCT contract administration, procurement and commercial reporting across high-value schemes.

The successful candidate will have strong M&E QS experience, NEC/JCT knowledge, and excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level.
• Background working for an M&E contractor or building services specialist.
• Excellent understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms.
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management - lead cost planning, forecasting, and financial control across M&E packages.
• Contract Administration - manage NEC/JCT contracts, variations, changes, and claims.
• Procurement & Subcontract Management - oversee procurement and negotiate subcontracts.
• Commercial Reporting - produce CVRs, valuations, and monthly reports.
• Risk & Opportunity Management - protect and enhance project margins.
• Stakeholder Collaboration - work with project managers, engineers, and clients.
