Partnered with a leading Main Contractor in the M&E sector, our client is hiring for a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join and add to their ever successful team!
The role will be covering pre and post contract projects in the data centre sector, and gives huge opportunities to progress.
This opportunity is for a M&E experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career, enthusiastic to bring their skills and knowledge to the team.
Working closely with clients, building relationships and working on Bids and Estimations, in the pre contract phase, through to implementation and completion of the contract.
This opportunity gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work cradle to grave on high profile, multi million £ projects, placing you in the limelight and giving you the opportunity to showcase your skills!
As Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor you will be given great support and opportunities to progress your career with our client as the growth of the division continues.
The role will be working out of Canary Wharf 2-3 days per week with home working available too.
You’ll:- Be responsible for trade Contractor & Consultant Administration in conjunction with Work Project Managers and Senior Project Manager
- Be responsible for contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Coordinate any responses required with Commercial Manager
- Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies
- Quarterly internal forecasting to show current revenue and costs, forecast and most likely position
- Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
- Be responsible for the following:
- Cost management for the additional works
- Revenue management for the additional works
- Change management for the additional works
- Risk and opportunity management for the additional works
- Management of Sub-contracts affected by the additional works
- Management and agreement of interim applications for the additional works
- Management and updating of Final Account advice and agreement of Final Account
- Dispute Resolution and Claims
We’re looking for:- Working and experienced knowledge of contract/commercial law
- Preferably qualified to RICS accreditation
- BSC or HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying services related subject
- Self-motivation and confidence
- Financially astute individual with good communication skills
- A confident decision maker who copes well under pressure
- Relevant CSCS Card
