Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - New Build Projects
Location: Bermondsey
Salary: Up to £110,000 + Travel Expenses
A specialist M&E contractor based in central London is looking for an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This privately owned firm focuses on delivering complex and high-value projects across the Commercial, Residential, Education, and Leisure sectors. Projects typically range between £5m and £40m, and they have built a strong reputation for delivering work that often pushes the boundaries of design and engineering.
The role will involve working on a new build residential development in Bermondsey. The main construction phase starts in June 2025, but design and procurement are already underway, making this the perfect opportunity to step in early and have a significant impact.
In this position, you'll take charge of managing costs throughout the project, overseeing valuations and variations, and ensuring tenders are properly reviewed and negotiated. Securing and coordinating sub-contractors, materials, and equipment will be a core part of the role, alongside regular reporting to the senior leadership team and the client. As with any project of this scale, there will be risks to analyse and disputes to resolve, so a steady hand and a sharp eye for detail are essential.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a structured environment but is also comfortable navigating the unexpected challenges that come with large-scale construction projects. With at least eight years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor and a track record of working on new builds worth £10m or more, you'll know how to balance the competing demands of cost, time, and quality.
This is a chance to take on a key role within a business that values expertise and a practical approach to problem-solving. With a salary of up to £110,000 and travel expenses covered, this is an opportunity to contribute to a major London project and advance your career in a meaningful way.
