Job description

Senior M&E Planner

Location: London

Type: Permanent

1st Step Solutions is working on behalf of a Tier 1 M&E Contractor, offering an opportunity for an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator/Manager to join their team. This is a senior role, so experience working for a large M&E Contractor on commercial projects is essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the construction team by realigning workload and programmes.
  2. Prepare target programmes to issue to sub-contractors.
  3. Monitor and prepare progress reports with the Project Manager.
  4. Provide information to the main contractor to assist in obtaining extension of time approval for sectional completion dates.
  5. Provide information to Senior Managers on workforce requirements.
  6. Coordinate void closure for rooms and monitor remedial works issued by others.
  7. Prepare commissioning programmes and set up procedures to monitor activities and collate documentation for O&M's.
  8. Manage snagging/defects and schedule of outstanding works.
  9. Produce site diagrams indicating sections of work areas and systems.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project planning, specifically in M&E projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their integration in construction projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
