Job summary

Skilled Careers is recruiting an LV Authorised Person (AP) to join a major hospital project in Wimbledon, Southwest London. The role focuses on managing LV electrical systems, isolations, and safety across a technically complex healthcare build within a large project team.

The successful candidate will work with Electrical Engineers, Project Managers and subcontractors to coordinate LV activities, maintain permits, and support commissioning through energisation on a nine-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as LV AP.
• Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems and safety.
• Experience in major MEP/construction environments.
• AP training/authorisation and Electrical Safety Rules understanding.

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated LV AP in line with Electrical Safety Rules.
• Manage safe isolation, switching and reinstatement of LV systems.
• Prepare, issue and manage permits to work and safety documentation.
• Review systems and ensure proper isolation before work begins.
• Carry out and oversee switching operations per approved procedures.
• Support testing, commissioning and energisation as the project progresses.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Project Managers and site teams.
