Job Description:

A respected food trading company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee international logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supply chain management, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to handle time-sensitive challenges with efficiency and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Logistics Manager in overseeing daily operations while contributing to strategic supply chain improvements.
  2. Supervise and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring smooth import, export, and stock transfers.
  3. Take full responsibility for shipments, quickly addressing any issues to ensure timely deliveries.
  4. Maintain strong relationships with freight providers, storage facilities, and customs officials to reduce delays.
  5. Ensure full compliance with global trade laws, customs requirements, and transportation regulations.
  6. Address urgent logistics challenges, including occasional out-of-hours situations, to protect business interests.
  7. Work closely with senior management to provide insights into logistics performance, cost management, and process optimisation.
  8. Use SAP Business One or similar ERP systems to monitor logistics activities and generate reports.

  1. Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight operations, ideally within international food trading.
  2. Strong understanding of global shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export logistics.
  3. Ability to remain calm under pressure and proactively resolve logistical challenges.
  4. High level of responsibility and a results-driven approach to managing logistics operations.
  5. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams.
  6. Familiarity with SAP Business One or comparable ERP/logistics software is beneficial.
  7. A proactive and analytical mindset to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.
  8. Strong commitment to ensuring seamless operations, recognising the financial and reputation impact of logistics disruptions.
