Job Title: Senior Logistics Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient picking and dispatching of customer orders, maintaining accurate stock levels, and managing cold storage operations. The ideal candidate will hold a valid reach truck license and bring a strong understanding of logistics and despatch processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Picking: Accurately pick and prepare customer orders in line with delivery schedules, ensuring all items are correctly selected and packed.
• Loading & Despatch: Safely load orders onto delivery vehicles, maximising space usage while maintaining product integrity.
• Stock Counting: Perform regular stock counts, assist with inventory management, and report any discrepancies to management.
• Cold Store Operations: Maintain and manage the cold store environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards for temperature-sensitive products.
• Logistics Coordination: Apply a solid understanding of logistics operations to streamline order processing and dispatch, contributing to overall efficiency.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety protocols, especially when operating reach trucks.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations and a positive team environment.

Requirements:

• Valid Reach Truck License - essential.
• Experience: Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse setting, particularly in order picking and dispatch.
• Cold Storage: Proven experience working in cold storage environments.
• Logistics Knowledge: Strong understanding of stock management and dispatch operations.
• Tech Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and hand-held scanners.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in order fulfilment.
• Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
