Job summary

Pangea in London is seeking a Senior LNG Operator to join its dynamic LNG trading and shipping team. The role covers voyage execution, planning and post-fixture reconciliation, working with Operations, Chartering and Trading to optimise LNG voyages.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in LNG or tanker operations, strong knowledge of shipping documents and charter party terms, and familiarity with ETRM systems; Python/VBA/Power BI are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in LNG, tanker operations, voyage execution.
• Strong understanding of shipping documentation and charter party terms.
• Experience with LNG FOB/DES cargoes is advantageous.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Exposure to ETRM systems; Python/VBA/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support voyage planning and issue voyage orders in line with Trading and Chartering requirements.
• Monitor LNG voyages on laden and ballast legs, ensuring compliance with charter party terms and operational plans.
• Coordinate with vessels, terminals, port agents and service providers across loading, discharge, berthing and port clearance activities.
• Monitor voyage performance (boil-off gas, fuel consumption, LNG inventory) and escalate issues.
• Support bunker planning, procurement and delivery aligned with schedules and fuel strategies.
• Manage end-to-end LNG cargo operations across FOB/DES contracts and TCP terms.
• Prepare and review cargo and shipping documentation (bills of lading, certificates, SOFs, delivery/redelivery certificates, LOIs, reconciliation files).
• Manage operational nominations and monitor contractual obligations across LNG purchase and sales contracts.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Sellers, Owners, Charterers, Trading, Legal, Finance and internal teams to ensure cargo execution.
• Support end-of-hire reconciliation, demurrage and related claims with supporting docs.
• Maintain accurate ETRM updates and operational reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, controls and reporting.

A leading international energy business with a growing LNG trading and shipping platform is looking to hire a Senior LNG Operatorto join its London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious LNG operations professional to join a dynamic, fast-paced trading environment, working closely with Operations, Chartering and Trading teams to ensure the safe, efficient and commercially optimised execution of LNG voyages.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing voyage and cargo operations, covering the full operational lifecycle from voyage planning through to post-fixture reconciliation and claims.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting voyage planning and issuing voyage orders in line with Trading and Chartering requirements.
• Monitoring LNG voyages across both laden and ballast legs, ensuring compliance with charter party terms and operational plans.
• Coordinating with vessels, terminals, port agents and service providers across loading, discharge, berthing and port clearance activities.
• Monitoring voyage performance, including boil-off gas, fuel consumption and onboard LNG inventory, escalating operational issues where required.
• Supporting bunker planning, procurement and delivery in line with voyage schedules and fuel strategies.
• Managing end-to-end LNG cargo operations across FOB and DES contracts and TCP terms.
• Preparing and reviewing key cargo and shipping documentation, including bills of lading, certificates, Statements of Facts, delivery/redelivery certificates, LOIs and reconciliation files.
• Managing operational nominations and monitoring contractual obligations across LNG purchase and sales contracts.
• Working closely with Buyers, Sellers, Owners, Charterers, Trading, Legal, Finance and internal stakeholders to ensure successful cargo execution.
• Supporting end-of-hire reconciliation, demurrage and other claims, including gathering supporting documentation and working with relevant teams towards resolution.
• Maintaining accurate ETRM updates and operational reporting.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes, controls and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years' experience in LNG, tanker operations, voyage execution or a related shipping environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping documentation, voyage operations and charter party terms.
• Experience with LNG operations would be highly advantageous, particularly FOB/DES cargoes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-moving trading environment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with ETRM systems would be beneficial.
• Exposure to Python, VBA or Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential.
