Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Linux Engineer to join our high-profile client.

Our client is a well-known and highly regarded quantitative trading firm, liquidity provider, and market maker. They operate globally and are considered a market leader in their field. This environment offers an intellectual, fun, and progressive setting where thinking outside the box is encouraged.

The environment is similar to Google or a well-funded FinTech startup, with a focus on technology and substantial budgets. The firm is globally recognized for its rigorous standards, and you will be working alongside some of the most talented Linux Engineers, Admins, and Programmers, tasked with building and improving a top-tier trading platform using a mix of in-house and open-source technologies.

Automation is a key focus, aiming to reduce human error and promote a culture of automation as an enjoyable activity.

You will need:

• A strong background in STEM education, ideally in Computer Science
• Deep knowledge of Linux and operating systems
• Fluency with command line and shell scripting
• Comfort with modern Linux and programming concepts like C, sockets, virtual memory, etc.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems clearly and effectively
• Understanding of networking protocols
• Experience with debugging tools such as gdb, perf, DTrace, and SystemTap
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in any programming language (Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell, or others) is a plus
