Job summary

Fractile is hiring for a Linux kernel driver engineer to work on its AI accelerator. You will ship kernel-level components and optimize critical paths in a high-performance server environment.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and ML teams to ensure end-to-end bring-up, robust operation, and continuous performance improvements. A strong background in C/Rust and kernel tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Shipped and maintained Linux kernel device drivers in production.
• Experience with PCIe-attached devices and custom hardware interfaces.
• Strong systems and performance instincts.
• Able to reason about computer architecture and concurrency.
• 3+ years of industry experience with relevant degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Linux kernel driver for Fractile's AI accelerator.
• Build performance-critical kernel-space paths: PCIe, DMA, memory, interrupts, and recovery.
• Define and evolve the userspace interface the runtime depends on for stability and speed.
• Collaborate in a tight co-design loop with hardware/firmware/runtime/ML teams.
• Improve tooling/workflows to move fast without breaking things.
