Job summary

IC Resources is partnering with a UK-based organisation to hire a Linux Infrastructure Engineer for large-scale compute environments. The role emphasizes hands-on Linux systems administration, automation, and support for production compute environments in a hybrid UK setting.

The successful candidate will deploy and maintain Linux servers, automate provisioning, troubleshoot issues, and assist with upgrades and cluster operations. Experience with HPC, Slurm and GPU infrastructure is valued.

IC Resources is working with an organisation seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to support the deployment, management and optimisation of large-scale compute environments.

This role will involve hands-on Linux systems administration, infrastructure automation and supporting production compute environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure and maintain Linux servers and compute infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking and performance issues.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansion and cluster operations.

Key requirements:

• Experience with RHEL, Rocky Linux or Ubuntu.
• Server provisioning and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ansible, Python or Bash automation.
• Experience supporting production compute or server environments.
• HPC clusters and Slurm.
• InfiniBand, Lustre or GPFS.
• Kubernetes or NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.
