Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Senior LIMS Programmer Analyst to join the Strategic Operations division of the Water Department. The role supports the Central Laboratory, ensures accurate data, regulatory compliance, and system upgrades within the LIMS environment.

Ideal candidates have a science background and strong SQL/VBA skills with Clinisys or similar LIMS and experience with data analysis tools such as Excel/Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, IT, CS or related field.
• Five years hands-on programming experience with LIMS or similar data management system.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day LIMS operations, maintenance, and user training.
• Develop and maintain SQL/PLSQL scripts for data validation and reporting.
• Administer LIMS user roles and access controls.
• Troubleshoot LIMS issues and coordinate with IT/vendors.
• Develop training materials and SOPs; provide on-site training.
