Job summary

Hoare Lea's Lighting team seeks a senior designer to own technical and design delivery from concept to construction. You will lead the lighting element of projects across the UK, with autonomy over workload and close collaboration with internal and external teams.

You will mentor junior staff, manage client-facing elements and advance sustainable, innovative lighting design across diverse building sectors. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• Senior lighting designer with proven experience in leading creative, technically robust work.
• Strong leadership and ability to communicate ideas clearly to clients and teams.
• Experience delivering lighting design across projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of lighting design across all project scales and sectors.
• Create conceptual lighting concepts, calculations and reports for concept designs.
• Produce detailed integration information for construction and lead client meetings.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Support project commercial management, invoicing, WIP, and workload planning.
• Mentor apprentices and graduates, champion sustainable, innovative design.
