Job summary

Lighting Design International in London is seeking a Senior Lighting Designer to lead iconic luxury projects and mentor the next generation of design talent. You will drive concepts, create lighting layouts and detailed design packages, and oversee site visits globally.

The role is hybrid, based in our Hammersmith studio with 1–2 days of remote work. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in a luxury lighting consultancy and strong skills in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel and DIALux.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of independent lighting consultancy experience on luxury projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel and DIALux.
• Revit/BIM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead iconic luxury projects from concept through completion and site visits.
• Create lighting concepts, design layouts, technical drawings, sketches and luminaire specs.
• Lead client meetings, oversee site inspections locally and overseas, mentor juniors.

We are looking for a Senior Lighting Designer to join our London studio to lead iconic projects and mentor the next generation of design talent.

Why you'll love this role

Deliver exceptional projects: Drive high-end luxury projects across the hospitality, residential, commercial, facade and superyacht sectors, taking them from the initial concept through to completion and final site visits.

Design & conceptualise: Create inspiring lighting concepts and deliver design layouts, technical drawings, sketches, visuals, detailed design packages, and luminaire specifications.

Lead & manage: Ensure seamless project delivery by leading client meetings and conducting site inspections, both locally and overseas.

Nurture & Mentor: Support, guide, and develop our growing team of Lighting Designers and Lighting Design assistants.

• 6+ years' experience with an independent lighting consultancy, designing luxury projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel and DIALux.
• Revit/BIM experience is also favourable.
