Job summary

Criterion Hospitality Ltd seeks a highly experienced Lift Engineer to assess and optimise our lift portfolio across residential sites, delivering expert technical recommendations and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will oversee contractor performance and drive improvements in safety, reliability, and value.

Your role requires independent work, strong communication with stakeholders, and a deep understanding of UK standards and legislation governing lift systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive lift engineering experience across multiple suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance.
• Deep understanding of UK lift regulations and health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing lift systems and identify maintenance needs and compliance issues.
• Provide recommendations to improve lift performance and safety.
• Collaborate with lift maintenance providers to meet SLAs.
• Review maintenance contracts to ensure best value.
• Support lift refurbishments and modernization projects.
• Ensure compliance with LOLER, EN81, and British Standards.
