Job summary

Norstella seeks a Senior Life Sciences Analyst for Model Training to bridge deep clinical science with AI development. You will work with data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to calibrate models on quality, accuracy and clinical reasoning, ensuring useful predictive analytics for clients.

You will collaborate across teams, design evaluation rubrics, and contribute to knowledge graphs and domain-grounded workflows while travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in life sciences, medical sciences, computer science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with production-grade life science datasets.
• Experience with structured publishing platforms and data tools.
• Experience with large complex datasets, data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Excellent problem solving and independent work.
• Excellent communication between technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate model outputs across clinical, regulatory, and life sciences tasks by rating responses and rewriting outputs.
• Define rubrics, preference dimensions, and quality criteria for model outputs.
• Act as expert-in-the-loop for life science models with clients and implementations.
• Advise on model behavior interpretation and dataflow adjustments with teams.
• Partner with data scientists to translate feedback into pipelines.
• Conduct red-team and adversarial evaluation of models for failure modes.
