What you'll be doing:

• Assessing and documenting life and disability risks by reviewing applications and deciding on terms based on your autonomy level.
• Leading or participating in projects to enhance underwriting processes and systems.
• Ensuring requests for additional information are appropriate and do not impact the customer journey unnecessarily.
• Handling complaints promptly and highlighting root causes for compliance.
• Accurately recording all work daily for effective communication and decision-making.
• Maintaining knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Communicating professionally with internal and external customers to maximize satisfaction.
• Meeting service commitments during marketing and sales to ensure customer expectations are met.

Who we're looking for:

• Experience in underwriting protection products and UK medical underwriting (essential).
• Thorough understanding of mortality, morbidity, and financial underwriting risk factors.
• Extensive knowledge of protection products and relevant legislation/regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
