Job description

We are looking for dedicated, passionate and conscious leaders to support our Home Manager with running our 'Supported Living Accommodation' HMO home which is based in Neath close proximity to the center.

Salary:£27,295, this will involve your commitment to 5 x on-call support out of office hours for the Neath home.

Hours:Full time (average 40.25 weekly)

Shift patterns:

All 7am-7pm on a rotating rota every 4 weeks. Pattern is Monday Tuesday, Saturday Sunday one week and then Wednesday, Thursday Friday the next. This pattern will reoccur throughout the year unless holiday leave is booked.

Our Home:

The Home is a 7 bedroom multiple occupancy home for 7 children ages 16-19 who are 'looked after' under the Local Authority and provide support and accommodation, however not to the level of residential care. Our main aim is to provide safe, loving and secure accommodation to promote our children to live independently as they will be expected to do so in the near future 18+. Our team will provide support according to the 'Trauma recovery model'. This 6 tier tool is our guide to understand the psychological needs that underpin behaviours and identify developmentally appropriate interventions that best address those needs.

Senior Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities will be giving gold standard support to our kids and ensuring their needs are met. Tasks include weekly room checks, life coaching and skill building with the kids, organising the kids Birthday's and yearly celebrations, professional meetings, liaising with professionals around the kids, conducting return to work interviews with team members who have been off work, settling in any kids that move in to the home, maintaining excellent communication with the home manager and other senior team.

Requirements:

  • Minimal 1 years of supervisory/ senior experience in the health and social care sector.
  • You do not need to drive however you need to be able to commute to your shifts reliably and get into work in the event of an emergency within 30 minutes when on-call if needed.

Skills that are essential:

  • IT as all of our kid recordings are on a tech system
  • Excellent communication to at he kids, professionals and our team
  • Adhering to Policies and Processes, leading by example
  • Being able to give respectful feedback
  • Being open to receiving feedback for development
  • Not engaging in toxic cultures in work as our main priority should be the kids and creating a loving environment for them.
  • Maintaining high levels of documentation
  • Organising your diary to ensure all tasks on your job description are done.
  • Being a friendly team member and approachable to the kids, loving our kids however knowing the professional boundaries to safeguard all.
