Job summary

Qualifications

• PQE of 4 years and above (guide only).
• In-house experience essential, gained either on secondment or through permanent in-house roles.
• Law firm training.

The role

The business is seeking a high-quality commercial lawyer to join its in-house team in a key Senior Legal Counsel role, supporting the General Counsel. This is an interesting and varied position.

• Managing day-to-day legal queries and advising on a variety of legal issues facing the UK business.
• Drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts for suppliers, agencies, software, consumer contracts, and marketing law (terms and conditions, promotions, and advertising campaigns).
• Advising on high-level consumer complaints.
• Instructing and managing external lawyers.
• Creating template documents and processes as necessary.
• Providing training and development for internal clients.
• Offering compliance and regulatory oversight and guidance – OFCOM, ICO.

About you

• Strong academic background.
• In-house experience essential, gained either on secondment or through permanent in-house roles.
• Law firm training.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• PQE of 4 years and above (guide only).
