This role offers a fantastic opportunity to shape our legal strategy and practices around emerging tech, AI, and procurement, while mentoring a talented legal team.

What You'll Do
  • Lead legal support for technology, AI, and procurement-related matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS, licensing, data processing, reseller/introducer, and AI agreements.
  • Advise stakeholders on legal risks and regulatory developments in AI, data protection, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Tech, Data Science, Procurement, Privacy, and Risk & Compliance.
  • Manage and develop one direct report, fostering growth and legal excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on strategic projects to senior management and C-suite executives.
  • Help define our legal vision and continually improve policies, processes, standards, and guidance.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in commercial, IP, data, and privacy law, especially in technology, AI, outsourcing, and procurement. Experience in digital media and open source is a plus.
  • Experience working in-house at a tech or digital media company or within a tech-focused legal team at a law firm. International experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues, manage priorities, simplify complexities, and deliver risk-aware outcomes quickly.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for innovation, including utilizing technology in legal work.
