Senior Legal Counsel, Private Markets Funds and JV’s

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with Private Markets experience to join one of Europe's leading Private Markets platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice within the Aviva Investors legal team for Private Markets funds (real estate, infrastructure, debt) and joint ventures.
• Supporting fund creation, structuring, outsourcing projects, and joint ventures.

Qualifications and experience:

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent with at least 5 years post-qualification experience (considering candidates outside this range with relevant skills).
• Strong knowledge of alternative investments, unregulated funds, and fund structures in real estate, infrastructure, and debt, including UK, Luxembourg, and Jersey structures.
• Understanding of acquisition structures, fund flows, tax efficiency, and regulatory environment, including AIFMD.
• Experience with ESG regulatory developments such as Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.
