Contract Opportunity - Legal Department

Join the Global Solutions Legal Department of a leading investment manager to support the growth of the business. The legal team supports the Solutions Business, which includes workplace investing and retail products.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day legal queries within the UK business.
• Draft and negotiate onboarding documents, transition agreements, third-party fund provider agreements, life policies, and other commercial agreements related to the UK global solutions business.
• Oversee negotiation of NDAs, DPAs, linking agreements, and trademark agreements.
• Review new laws and regulations, assess their impact, and advise on the legal and regulatory environment.
• Collaborate with other departments within the global legal team.
• Liaise with external counsel as needed.

Experience and Knowledge

• Qualified lawyer or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in a law firm or financial services organization.
• Commercially minded with understanding of UK pensions and retail products laws.
• Ability to advise on pension and retail product regulations.
• Knowledge of tax and data protection laws.
• Knowledge of corporate and general commercial law is a plus.
• Proactive team player with project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
