About the role

We have a new opportunity for a lawyer to join our Governance team in Bristol. You will lead the legal team, reporting to the Director of Governance and Legal, in a collaborative and high-performing environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of 6 legal professionals (solicitors, paralegals, trainees).
• Provide contract review and negotiation services.
• Review and negotiate contracts.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and update the firm’s terms, conditions, and policies.
• Mentor and support junior legal staff.
• Provide legal advice as needed.
• Maintain the legal compliance register.

About you

You should have:

• Over 5 years PQE as a commercial lawyer, with pragmatic contract experience.
• Experience with service agreements, ideally within the construction industry.
• Team management skills, self-awareness, and a collaborative spirit.
• Experience supporting others’ development.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
