Job description

This is an M&A focused in-house legal role for a mid-to-senior level lawyer based in London (Hybrid).

Client Details

Our Client is a well funded and expanding PE backed Education business with operations and sites throughout the world.

Description

You will support growth of the Group through assisting with the execution of M&A projects by providing comprehensive legal support for all aspects of such transactions throughout the whole deal life-cycle, including:

  • drafting and reviewing transaction documents,
  • conducting due diligence,
  • assessing legal risks,
  • record keeping,
  • as well as ensuring internal policies and procedures are followed.

You will also:

  • work day-to-day to support the Head of Corporate & Commercial on global M&A transactions (principally on the buy side).
  • manage relationship and engagement with external lawyers and other external advisors and service providers working on any M&A transactions.
  • work closely with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Development, Tax, Finance teams to ensure efficient progression on M&A transactions to meet annual targets

Profile

The successful candidate will be a lawyer, qualified in the UK or another common law jurisdiction.

They will have trained with an international law firm and have substantial experience in cross border M&A transactions through the full life-cycle of deals.

Desirable

  • Experience with real estate, greenfield, brownfield development and corporate finance transactions will also be useful.
  • Knowledge and experience working with international laws and cross border transactions.
