The Opportunity

This senior position will lead on complex and high-profile matters across corporate law, including M&A transactions, bond financing, treasury, and legal governance. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to key business units, advising on critical legal and commercial decisions while ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. You will also lead and inspire a team of experienced professionals across multiple specialist areas.

Key Responsibilities

Legal oversight on corporate activities including M&A, joint ventures, debt financing, and investments.
Operate as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and executive leadership on transactional and strategic legal matters.
Drive the operational implementation of legal strategy to ensure practical and measurable outcomes.
Provide guidance across legal teams supporting corporate development, treasury, governance, and investment management.
Manage and develop a high-performing legal team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Liaise with external counsel to support complex transactions and protect organisational interests.
Play a key role in shaping legal structures and processes that support long-term strategic growth.
Act as a key succession candidate for future leadership opportunities.

Candidate Profile

UK-qualified corporate lawyer with 6+ years’ PQE and a strong record of managing complex corporate JV transactions pre and post completion
Expertise in investments, financing, treasury instruments, and legal governance.
Strong experience in listed or private equity-backed environments is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Commercially astute with excellent judgment, negotiation, and communication skills.
Operates with emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
Able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with evolving priorities.
