Job Description:

Delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a leading Insurance Broking organisation who are looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team.

My client is a leader in it's field with a true niche and a fantastic company culture, with a first-class legal setup headed up by an experienced General Counsel.

This role will play an integral role in the interaction with key stakeholders across the business, including C-Suite, Claims, Underwriting & Finance. You will have a U.K. and global focus to this role, giving you immense exposure to multi-jurisdictional work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Broking & Claims Team on pre and post litigation matters.
• Providing claims advisory services & coverage advice where appropriate.
• Drafting and revising policy wordings and working closely with the underwriting teams on new product development.
• Assisting with ad-hoc legal enquiries, including data privacy, employment, and regulatory matters.
• Drafting and advising key commercial insurance agreements, including TOBAs, Insurer NDAs, Broker Agreements and non-insurance related contracts.

To be successful in this role, you must be at least 4 years PQE, with experience of working in Insurance either in Private Practice and/or In-house. Experience working within an insurance broking environment is advantageous, as is an understanding of the insurance regulatory landscape.
