The Role

As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll partner with senior leadership, government bodies, and regulators to deliver pragmatic, strategic legal advice on high-value, technology-driven projects. This will involve:

  • Working across multi-million-pound sourcing, outsourcing, and cloud software deals, advising from pre-contract through to delivery and post-contract disputes.
  • Dealing with complex transactions, including negotiating and drafting agreements related to outsourcing, managed services, telecommunications, cloud computing, data hosting, IT infrastructure, software licensing, and information security.
  • Advising on regulatory compliance, including privacy laws, data protection (e.g., GDPR), and cybersecurity regulations
  • You’ll have the freedom to challenge thinking, influence key decisions, and bring innovative, risk-aware solutions to complex legal and commercial issues in a regulated environment.
  • Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation and settlement negotiations, and liaise with external counsel as necessary.

What We’re Looking For

  • A lawyer with 4-6 PQE who has strong commercial technology/procurement experience (TMT sector ) - having trained initially in private practice, you will also have in house experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead on high-value, complex transactions and commercial agreements, particularly in outsourcing, technology, and telecommunications.
  • Strong knowledge of IT law, including software licensing, cloud services, data hosting, networks, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at senior and executive level
  • Experience in high-profile, regulated, or politically sensitive environments

You’ll be part of a legal function that’s raising its profile and influence across the business, with direct exposure to the most strategic projects and issues. You’ll work closely with engaged, collaborative colleagues in an environment where your input will shape real-world outcomes.

On offer is an excellent base salary, car allowance, 30% bonus with hybrid working of around 8 days a month in their central London office.
