About Us:
G&E Group, a global executive search firm with offices in London, Leeds, Dubai, and Florida, is looking for an experienced legal professional to become our first-ever in-house Legal Counsel.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad and varied role, providing expert legal guidance across commercial contracts, corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, governance, and risk. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the legal function from the ground up — no team to manage, just high-level influence, autonomy, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including client terms, supplier agreements, licensing contracts, and service agreements, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Corporate: Oversee the establishment of new legal entities, including preparing and filing necessary documentation, and provide ongoing legal support for corporate restructuring initiatives.
- Governance: Identify and mitigate legal risks by developing and implementing company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, anti-bribery, and corporate governance standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in the law and new legislation, in particular that directly affect the business and industry, ensuring that the company remains compliant.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver legal training to staff, promoting best practices in legal compliance and risk management throughout the company.
- External Coordination: Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and other third-party organisations as necessary to represent and protect the company's legal interests.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Knowledge of and proven experience in the following areas of law: Corporate Law, Commercial Contracts, Employment, and Data Protection.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and the associated structuring of multi-jurisdictional businesses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters to non-legal personnel.
- Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders including C-Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of employment law.
- Experience of handling litigation would be advantageous.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits package (£75,000-£100,000 DOE)
- A supportive and dynamic work environment.
- The chance to play a key role in the growth and success of the company.
- Great Benefits (including PMI, private pension scheme, Birthday off, 25 days holiday etc)
