Cluster Lead Counsel NEU

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will provide strategic legal counsel and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards, manage legal risks, and foster a culture of integrity. The work model is hybrid, with some travel to ABB sites in the UK and Ireland. This role contributes to the UK and Ireland Electrification business. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Providing end-to-end legal services and integrity advice to the Electrification business units.
2. Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements, and collaborating with global and local stakeholders.
3. Monitoring legal affairs, including litigations and activity reports.
4. Advising on local strategic business matters, identifying risks, threats, and opportunities, and proposing strategies.
5. Supporting fiduciary duties and corporate governance, if applicable.

Qualifications for the role

• University Law Degree with legal practice certification or equivalent qualifications.
• Qualified Solicitor with 8-10 years PQE, admitted in England and Wales.
• Fluent in English.
• Solution-oriented, with a proactive business partner attitude and experience coordinating complex transactions across teams and countries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Highest integrity, professionalism, and passion for excellence.
• Experience working in international environments, with diverse cultures, promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Experience in engineering or industrial sectors is desirable.
