The company

S&H are exclusively partnering with a leading global retailer. The business is seeking a high quality corporate lawyer to join its in-house team in a key Senior Legal Counsel role, supporting the Group General Counsel. This is an exciting and varied position.

The role

A business facing in-house role at a top tier company, with a balance of business partnering and advising stakeholders on a variety of corporate and strategic matters. The role can be broken down as follows:

1. Supporting the CEO and Group GC on a variety of Corporate matters.
2. Advising on share and asset acquisitions, JVs, corporate restructurings.
3. True business partnering with a variety of business units.
4. Support the business in capital structure and corporate financing.
5. Supporting in corporate governance, compliance and company secretarial matters.

About you

1. Significant corporate M&A legal experience.
2. Strong academics.
3. Secondment or in-house experience desirable but not essential.
4. Law firm trained.
5. Strong interpersonal skills.
6. PQE bracket is 4 years and above. This is a guide only.
