I am working with a household name and is listed as a FTSE 100 Company with a global footprint. This is a unique opportunity to work for a recognised brand on top privacy matters across the wider business.

They are looking to add a dynamic lawyer to their Privacy team which sits within the Legal function. You will support the wider Group on important projects related to privacy.

You can expect close collaboration with the business, a diverse and often high-profile workload, and a brief to be curious. An ability to build a range of relationships, prioritise workloads (to focus your resource on the key privacy risks in our business) and provide practical risk-based “can do” advice is essential.

This is a senior privacy role for experienced candidates reporting into the Head of Privacy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering privacy advice to a range of stakeholders and business functions (including the people, technology, marketing, security, customer and operations teams);
  2. Providing subject matter expertise on PIAs, supporting on complex data requests, overseeing high risk personal data incidents, as well as leading on more challenging regulatory complaints and investigations;
  3. Providing strategic direction and delivering on high profile data privacy projects, as we execute both our customer strategy and a range of colleague transformation programmes;
  4. Developing the capabilities of less experienced members of the Privacy Team and providing direction and advice to them;
  5. Supporting the Head of Privacy in a range of governance and reporting forums (including a range of risk, privacy and audit committees).

What you need:

  1. 5-10 PQE ideally qualified in E&W with experience in-house or top city law firm.
  2. Strong understanding and application of data privacy laws.
