My client, a globally recognised law firm, is actively seeking an experienced and professional Conflicts/Risk & Compliance Lawyer (or Counsel) to join them on a permanent basis in their London office as a Senior Legal Counsel.

This firm operates in over 40 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Their clients include multinational, Global 1000, and Fortune 500 companies, as well as emerging technology firms, government, and public sector bodies.

The Senior Legal Counsel will collaborate with Executives, Partners, CMPs, and OMPs to identify and understand legal, risk, and compliance developments and issues. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing responsive legal and regulatory advice, with a focus on conflicts management.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with conflicts policies and procedures in partnership with the Business Intake Team
• Providing legal advice on conflicts and confidential information to Partners and Fee-Earners
• Assessing wider risk and reputational criteria during business intake
• Reviewing and advising on conflicts issues
• Leading internal investigations related to conflicts
• Collaborating with the conflicts team to review and improve processes
• Training and mentoring the conflicts team

Qualifications and skills required:

• Qualified Lawyer (England & Wales)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal conflicts
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Ability to commute to London, with occasional travel to regional offices
