What are we looking for
We have an opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel who will be a key player in ensuring the effective delivery of legal support to ITM Power and its international operations, playing a significant role in helping ITM Power to achieve its corporate objectives and deliver value to shareholders.

The Legal Department within ITM Power supports the international operations by negotiating commercial agreements, managing corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and managing disputes. It also provides general and commercial legal advice relating to ITM Power's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the legal activities of ITM Power across all business areas.
  • Provide legal advice on day-to-day functions and international operations.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve legal, governance, compliance, and contract management processes.
  • Support the General Counsel and Deputy Head in legal team performance and development.

About You
Knowledge and Experience
  • A qualified solicitor with 5-7 years relevant post-qualification experience in commercial and corporate law, preferably in a strong in-house environment.
  • Experience managing high-value commercial legal matters and agreements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of commercial, contract, and company law, with the ability to assess legislative impacts.
  • Proven ability to operate within effective legal teams delivering high standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including at senior levels.

  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills for international commercial agreements.
  • Practical commercial advice and results-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication, influencing, coaching, and adaptability skills.
