Job Description:

Our client, a globally recognised law firm operating in over 40 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, is seeking an experienced Conflicts/Risk & Compliance Lawyer (or Counsel) to join their team as a Senior Legal Counsel in London.

The firm serves a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, emerging tech firms, and government bodies.

The Senior Legal Counsel will collaborate with executives, partners, and compliance teams to identify and address legal, risk, and compliance issues, focusing on conflicts management. The role involves providing legal advice, conducting internal investigations, reviewing conflicts, and enhancing internal processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with conflicts policies and procedures in collaboration with the Business Intake Team
• Provide legal advice on conflicts and confidential information to partners and fee earners
• Identify and assess wider risk and reputational criteria in business intake
• Review conflicts issues and lead internal investigations
• Work with the conflicts team to improve processes
• Deliver training and shadowing to the conflicts team

Qualifications:

• Qualified Lawyer (England & Wales)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal conflicts
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Ability to commute to London with occasional travel
