The role:
The Senior Legal Assistant will work closely with other Senior Legal Assistants within the team and provide cover as necessary. They will be supported by the document production team, which produces letters and documents through manual transcription, digital dictation, and voice recognition.
The Senior Legal Assistant will have client contact and should be able to handle client enquiries effectively, keeping themselves updated on matters in their area(s).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Hours of Work: 9.00 am – 5.15 pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Spalding
Salary: £24,650
Person Specification:
Qualifications: Secretarial qualification, equivalent experience, or a Law Graduate.
Knowledge: Clear understanding of confidentiality/Data Protection, proficient in Microsoft Office, understanding of Private Client work, experience with SOS Connect, and knowledge across different areas of law.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, structured and organized, excellent telephone manner, accurate and efficient, typing speed of at least 50 WPM, proactive and tactful, highly supportive and efficient.
Attributes: Willingness and ability to learn quickly across various practice areas including Family, Personal Injury, Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Property, Private Client, Employment Law, Litigation, and Corporate Law. Positive attitude, enthusiasm, flexibility to meet company demands.
