Senior Legal Accounts Assistant, Accounts Team

What you'll be responsible for:
- Completion Pack Processing: Accurately process completion packs for conveyancing transactions, ensuring all financial elements are reconciled and compliant.
- Submission of Telegraphic Transfers: Prepare and submit telegraphic transfers, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place and authorisations are obtained in line with firm policy.
- Fee Processing: Process search fees and Land Registry fees promptly and accurately, allocating costs appropriately on client ledgers.
- Cheque Printing: Responsible for preparing and printing cheques as required, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation.
- Accounts Queries: Investigate and resolve queries related to accounts, liaising with solicitors and fee earners to ensure prompt resolution.
- Client to Office Transfers: Process transfers from client account to office account in line with agreed billing and compliance protocols.
- Account Reconciliations: Carry out regular reconciliations for the Client and Office Account, identifying and resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
- Conveyancing Referrals: Liaise with the conveyancing team to support referral tracking and related financial processing.
- Client Deposit Monies: Process the receipt and transfer of client deposit monies, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Bank Liaison: Act as a point of contact with the bank for day-to-day operational matters and resolve any banking issues that arise.
- Prepare imports into the accounts system database using excel.
What we're looking for:- Proven experience in a similar cashier or accounts role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Excellent understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using legal accounting software (e.g., SOS, Action Step, etc).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Trustworthy and discreet with confidential financial data.
- Excel, including reporting and understanding of formulas.
