About The Role

Based in the School of Education sits within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. We are a growing School with a diverse course portfolio, with postgraduate and undergraduate provision. Following our successful accreditation from the Department of Education, we have developed the first new BEd (Hons) Primary Education with QTS, in the sector for 30 years.

We’re looking to recruit an experienced school-based practitioner to our Initial Teacher Training team to start in September 2025. You will bring experience of teaching in primary schools, a passion for training the next generation of teachers in the Eastern region and a commitment to maintaining your own currency of practice to inform course and module development. In this role you will teach on the new BEd Primary Education with QTS course on our Peterborough campus, upskill as a Lead Mentor under the new requirements for ITT and support school-based training for trainees. Most of this role will require on-campus teaching on a Tuesday and Thursday or visiting trainees in school when they are on placement. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting and busy ITT offer.
