Job summary

University of Salford is recruiting a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor to provide leadership to the Organisations, Work and Digital Transformation group within Salford Business School. The role is permanent, full-time with a 50% workload allocation as Subject Group Head, reviewed on a 3-year cycle.

You will lead teaching, research and knowledge exchange, support programme development, and mentor junior staff while advancing equity and inclusivity across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading teaching, research and knowledge exchange in one of the areas aligned to the subject group (Human Resource Management, Leadership, Information Systems, Digital Transformation or similar) as well as experience of managing academic teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the dynamic team of staff within Organisations, Work and Digital Transformation, promoting excellence in teaching, research, knowledge exchange and the student experience.
• Initiate and lead development and delivery of taught programmes related to Organisations, Work and Digital Transformation and/or research programmes with outstanding delivery and support of teaching and learning.
• Support Faculty Leadership ensuring activities meet professional/University standards.
• Carry out research and scholarship to inform programme currency and delivery.
• Provide line management to staff and act as mentor/coach for junior colleagues.
• Promote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive study and work environment.
