The role

The University of Bristol Business School is inviting applications for an outstanding Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Accounting on a full-time and open-ended basis.

This role is focused on teaching and scholarship only. Candidates must be committed to delivering high-quality education and student experience. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate units, develop new units and programs, and provide academic leadership, such as leading a program. Candidates should connect academic theory to practice and engage students through innovative curricula.

Ongoing scholarship, including pedagogical research, is important. Candidates should be aware of the latest research in their field and incorporate it into teaching. This role offers a clear career pathway and an opportunity to contribute to research, impact, and education excellence.


What will you be doing?

You will engage in education and research activities collaboratively, including:

  1. Teaching and marking at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels
  2. Contributing to curriculum design and development
  3. Acting as a personal tutor to students
  4. Supervising MSc students
  5. Demonstrating leadership and contributing to the wider university community
