Job description

Location: Bedfordshire (no fixed location)

We are currently seeking an experienced neonatal nurse to lead our special care and high dependency care of the newborn short courses and assist with neonatal educational delivery on our midwifery courses.

We are looking for experienced, inspirational lecturers or clinicians, able to take responsibility for leading our neonatal short courses and assisting with teaching on our midwifery courses. As part of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education team, you’ll work with colleagues across the University to deliver exciting, innovative courses within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll also collaborate with local practice partners who support our students with practice learning, including apprenticeships.

You’ll be joining one of the University’s largest faculties, offering a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocationally oriented professional health and social sciences courses for both home and overseas students.

Our areas of study within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education cover both pre-professional registration and post-qualifying education. We offer NMC-approved courses in Adult, Child, and Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Associates, and Midwifery. We also provide various courses for qualified healthcare practitioners, as well as courses in medical and dental education. We set high standards on employability, with 100% of our graduates entering employment, often with local healthcare providers.

The University has an international research reputation and actively encourages staff to develop their knowledge and skills through postgraduate and doctoral studies. All Faculty staff are encouraged to be research active, with full support provided by The Institute of Health Research.

Interviews will be held on 24th June 2025.
