Job summary

Staffordshire University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering at Stoke Campus to teach and lead delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including apprenticeships and distance learning for Armed Forces.

You must have a PhD in Engineering and substantial HE teaching experience, with leadership in curriculum development, student support and academic governance; membership of a professional body is desirable.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Substantial experience teaching in higher education.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development, student support and academic leadership.
• Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Strong research activity with potential for external funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise and develop undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical and/or Automotive programmes.
• Lead curriculum development, course design and assessment strategies.
• Provide course leadership and contribute to School and University strategic initiatives.
• Engage in quality assurance, course validation and accreditation activities.
• Support student experience, progression and retention through academic and pastoral guidance.
• Maintain research activity and collaborations to enhance the School's profile.
