As a Senior Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation, you will contribute to a range of educational activities, including teaching, assessment, and student support. You will play a key role in curriculum development and quality assurance, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance academic provision. This post may also involve contributing to the MSc in Strength and Conditioning, supporting curriculum development and teaching within this programme. Additionally, you may contribute to the BSc Rehabilitation Joint Education Programme at Hainan Medical University in China.
Responsibilities:
We seek an experienced and passionate Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, Graduate Sports Therapist, or Physiotherapist with a strong clinical and educational background. A thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, assessment, management strategies, clinical reasoning, and injury rehabilitation in sport is essential. Expertise or interest in Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, Special Population Rehabilitation, and Digital Health Technology would be advantageous.
A Master's degree is desirable; however, candidates with postgraduate study, university teaching experience, or a research profile in Sport Rehabilitation or related fields will also be considered. Registration with BASRaT, The Society of Sports Therapy, or the HCPC as a Physiotherapist is required.
This position is part of the School of Health and Social Wellbeing at UWE Bristol, offering a full-time, accredited BSc Sport Rehabilitation programme, alongside postgraduate and CPD offerings, including an MSc in Rehabilitation.
The post is based at Glenside Campus, located in Stapleton, near Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent role, available on a job share basis. It is primarily campus-based with occasional remote work.
