Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Social Work

Location: Birmingham

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role:

We seek a passionate, student-focused Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to shape our Social Work programmes and department, designing engaging, inclusive teaching that links theory to practice. You will support students and apprentices, helping them develop confidence and professional skills.

As a senior team member, you will collaborate on curriculum development, innovate in teaching and learning, and strengthen our partnerships with placement providers and employers. We encourage creative ideas, especially those leveraging digital tools to reflect contemporary social work practice.

Applicants should have experience teaching in Higher Education, familiarity with Social Work England’s standards, and a commitment to widening participation and diverse learners. Most importantly, you should care about making a difference in learners' lives and the social work profession.
