Why join the team?
We are an enthusiastic team of academics with specialist clinical, educational and research interests. We have three exciting programmes delivered by the team including BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science, MSc (Pre-Registration) Paramedic Science and MSc Advanced Paramedic Practice.

These programmes offer a diverse teaching experience to cohorts of bright and promising students who will benefit from your knowledge and clinical skills. The team are research active, clinically active and are excited to welcome new team members who share the same passion for excellence.

Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced HCPC registered paramedic. You will be responsible for the teaching and assessment of undergraduate/postgraduate paramedic students at the University. You will utilise the current evidence-base to underpin teaching and learning activities. You may participate in development and reviews of programmes including inter-professional developments across the School and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum developments; including development, delivery and teaching on short courses, modules and programmes.

You will contribute to the administration of the School by undertaking additional roles, such as being a module lead and joining teams involved in activities such as admissions, timetabling or pastoral support. You will also be expected to undertake and contribute to paramedic research.
You will liaise with and maintain good relationships with colleagues across the School and University.

Being willing to contribute to inter-professional teaching and learning activities, with an interest in evidence-based healthcare, is key.

Qualifications required

You should hold a master’s degree (or equivalent level 7 qualification) in a relevant subject, or be working towards such a qualification.
