A leading university in the UK is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology. The School of Social Sciences at UWE, Bristol is seeking to appoint a permanent 0.8FTE Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology. The successful applicant will be an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist, with professional practice and academic leadership including research supervisory experience in Counselling Psychology. Ideally, candidates will have the specialist expertise to lead Year 1 Modules in Personal and Professional Practice and/or Systemic Thinking and Practice, with a commitment to innovative and high-quality teaching.
The post is based with the Psychology team within the interdisciplinary School of Social Sciences, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes accredited by the BPS, HCPC, and BACP. Our staff are professional practitioners and researchers, contributing cutting-edge insight, practical experience, and innovative teaching approaches. We collaborate closely with employers and stakeholders to keep our curricula current and relevant to societal needs.
We seek a passionate Counselling Psychologist with academic, supervisory, practice, and leadership experience to teach and serve as Module Lead on the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. The role involves contributing to teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology programs. You will join a dedicated team delivering the HCPC-approved and BPS-accredited Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
