About The Role
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team. We are a friendly, progressive and professional team with an excellent reputation for providing high quality teaching and learning and student support.
The successful candidate will join our Community, Health and Social Work team which includes our social work, community and youth work, and health and social care degree programmes and short courses. You will contribute to our undergraduate Health and Social Care course, as well as supporting with post-graduate courses. The role will involve aspects of leadership, teaching and assessment, student supervision/support and curriculum development. There will be opportunities to develop your academic profile and to contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary research that aligns with the School’s priorities and values.
What You Can Bring
The successful candidate will have experience of academic leadership in teaching and learning, including curriculum development, module leadership, and delivering high-quality, inclusive education across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
You will have proven ability to support student success, including experience of personal tutoring, supervision, and working with diverse student cohorts in a widening participation context.
You will have a developing research or scholarly profile, with evidence of contribution to pedagogic or applied research, knowledge exchange, or professional practice that enhances the academic standing of the subject area.
