Lease Consultancy (Senior Surveyor/Associate Director)
Location: Birmingham

Position Overview:

Are you a seasoned Senior Surveyor or Associate Director with a passion for lease consultancy? Our client, a leading niche agency in the retail, restaurant, and leisure market, has recently secured several high-profile mandates and is on the lookout for an experienced professional to join their dynamic Lease Consultancy team.

In this role, you will work autonomously and provide strategic advice on lease negotiations, rent reviews, and lease renewals for prime assets in Central London and across the UK. Additionally, you will gain unique experience in Asset Management, including work on luxury shopping centres.

Responsibilities:

• Offer expert advice and representation on rent reviews, lease renewals, and lease re-gears for retail and leisure assets.
• Conduct research and analysis of lease terms, market conditions, and legal considerations to formulate strategic recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, valuations, and strategic advice to support lease consultancy services.
• Collaborate closely with clients, landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders to negotiate favourable lease terms and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Work alongside market-leading leasing and investment teams, providing holistic advice on all aspects of the property life cycle.
• Assist with the asset management of leading Central London assets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in lease advisory or commercial property consultancy, with a proven track record in negotiating lease terms, rent reviews, and lease renewals.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex lease documentation and financial data.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, particularly Excel.
