Job summary

Bessacarr Primary, part of the Empowering Minds Academy Trust in Doncaster, is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Support Assistant. The role is 25 hours per week during term time, with a start date as soon as possible and a temporary 12-month contract with potential permanency.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning, engage with pupils, and help maintain high standards of attainment and behaviour.

Qualifications

• We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Learning Support Assistant with excellent communication skills.
• Must be committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour and able to engage well with pupils.
• Able to work under own initiative and assist with lesson planning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Engage with pupils to raise attainment and manage behaviour positively.
• Prepare and assess own lessons and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
