As a qualified Senior Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users in this Mental Health service. Your day-to-day duties will include providing high-quality nursing care, mentoring and supporting team members, and maintaining accurate records of the care provided. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness, complex care needs, or personality disorders.

As an experienced nurse from the NHS or private sector, you will join the team at Thornford Park as a Senior Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) working 37.5 hours per week (12.5-hour shifts), where you will change lives for the better.

What you will be doing
As a qualified Senior Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will ensure people with mental health conditions in this mental health service receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:

You will work at Thornford Park, which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness, complex care needs as well as those with personality disorders. Service users may have histories of offending and/or may have failed in previous placements.
